GPS Run Tracking
Downhill Radar supports GPS run data from RaceBox devices. You can upload your run CSV files to any spot or race event and compare your speed, time, and trajectory against other riders.
Create Your Track in RaceBox
Open the RaceBox app and create a new track session. Place your start line and finish line manually on the map at your spot. You cannot import tracks from external files β they must be created inside the RaceBox app itself.
Drive the Track & Export
Drive your run with the RaceBox device recording. After your session, export your run data as a CSV file from the RaceBox app. The CSV contains your GPS coordinates, speed, altitude, and G-force data.
Upload & Compare
Open the event or spot on Downhill Radar and upload your RaceBox CSV. Your run is added to the leaderboard and you can visually compare your GPS track, speed chart, and G-forces against other riders' runs.
How to export your RaceBox CSV
- 1Open the RaceBox app on your phone and go to the Sessions tab (clock icon).
- 2Tap the session you want to export. Make sure it is the correct run β check the date, duration, and top speed.
- 3Tap the share / export button (β icon or the three-dot menu at the top right of the session detail screen).
- 4Select "Export as CSV". The file will typically be named something like RaceBox_2026-04-30_123456.csv.
- 5Save the CSV to your phone's files or share it directly. On iPhone use "Save to Files"; on Android save to Downloads.
- 6Open the event or spot on Downhill Radar, tap "+ Upload Your Run", and select the CSV file. Your run is parsed and added to the leaderboard instantly.
Route sharing: RaceBox does not support importing routes from external files or URLs. Each rider must create their own custom track inside the RaceBox app by manually placing the start and finish lines. Use the GPS coordinates shown on each spot page to find the correct start location.
Location auto-detect: When submitting a spot or race, you can upload a RaceBox CSV file to automatically pin the correct location on the map β no manual coordinate entry needed.
Distance limit: GPS runs can only be uploaded to an event if the recorded track starts within 10 km of the event location. This prevents runs from unrelated spots being mixed in.
Top 100 leaderboard: Each spot stores the 100 fastest runs globally. If you upload a run that ranks outside the top 100 it will be compared against the leaderboard for your session but not saved. Each user may have one run per spot β uploading a new one will ask you to replace your existing entry.
